Kindergarten

Our accelerated program provides additional time to expand the knowledge in a Montessori kindergarten curriculum. Our teachers recommend 5-6 years old must attend a 5-day program. Children 5 years before August 1, in Missouri, and August 31 in Kansas will receive kindergarten diplomas.

Pre-Kindergarten: 3-5 yr-olds

Combining the Pre K and Preschool students ensures success through experience of various ages, and individual levels of development. Each Montessori classroom contains a full complement of sequentially designed materials that will cultivate every child’s individual needs. Our Montessori degreed staff creates individual and educationally appropriate environments in all classrooms.

Discovery: 2-3 yr-olds

Montessori believes that learning comes from within by a natural curiosity and love for knowledge. Our Discovery Program is designed for children beginning at the age of 2, who are ready for the nurturing environment of a Montessori environment by cultivating their own natural desire to learn. Bathroom training is included in the program.

Available Schedules

We strive to provide flexibility to our families.

All classrooms other than kindergarten, offer attendance options for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week. Kindergarteners are required to attend five days a week (at least half-days) in order to receive a certificate of kindergarten accomplishment.

-Full day: 8:20 - 3 pm

-Half day: 8:20 - 11:30 am. Half-day students also have the option to stay for lunch (for an additional fee).

Extended Care Options - AM (7:30 - 8:20) & PM (3 - 5:30)

Special Classes

Alpha Montessori School believes in the importance of introducing the Arts to children at a young age. With that in mind, music, dance, and yoga are part of our weekly schedule.

Several times a year, Cooking with YaYa comes to the school. This program encourages self-confidence and passion for cooking, promote creativity, strengthen thinking and problem-solving skills, and enhance following directions.
